Eight Generations in Two Slides

Sorry, folks- don’t mean to clog the in-basket but this was one of those things that popped up when attempting to clean out one of those other things and it got deep fast! I’m not one of the two slides. It would be easier!

I wish this one started with a look at the sort of bedraggled little image below on the left. You can see, if you don’t hoist your laptop or phone up to peer into it, it is a blur of a sort of ochre on gray. Which is not what it once was.

Vic hadChatCPT bring back the original dancing ;ixels and it brought to life what had been described in almost obscure ink:
“1881.Grandpa and….Grandma, Mother, Burr, Walter and Willie.”

The words were almost unintelligable on the back of the card, written on a dark cardboard backing. Om the front, the captions had almost been worn away but were intelligenbe once one knew what to look for. But what was most amazing was seeing three generations unposed, and in a form of motioned energy some 145 years ago

Which led him to clip that bottom row of real figures from a real family photogrpah to today’s entree;
