Groundhog Day in the SitRoom?

The meeting was not announced until eleven O’clock when the morning Daily was ready to go. This was sort o a dreamy production meeting since the dark gray clouds parted and the sun blazed through, brilliant in the blue. The decision to not hold the
event in the Oval Office, where a more formal note of consequence would be delivered/

Peter Doocy was prancing on the north wall flat screen of the conference room with real breaking news. We don’t know what it is yet, but we suspect it might be another announcement of a Big Deal between some zealous religious folks who are have trouble communicating with each other, much less us.

But they tell us this is a big deal, and who knows? What we were going to talk to you about this morning- while it was morning…

So, the intent of the Daily was supposed to capture some of the timeless feature of the Iran crisis, the accounts of which now ar not much different that the ones about the Embassy hostages 47-long years ago. So, there was that long, long hike down through a dark vault which also seems to be coming here.

There seems to be a new social practice involving our electoral system. There have nor been five attempts to shoot at the President. We won’t delve into them, nor the clear implication that the controversy over the new ballroom. Entertaining White House guests in tents may have been suitable in earlier, gentler days, but those are gone. The demonstration of that was yesterday with this, an attempt against the home of Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett::

We won’t mention the details of the “swatting” attempt reported at the home of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett here in Northern Virginia. The term Swatting is the reporting of nonexistent violent crime, usually to stir up an actual violent situation involving responding law enforcement or a SWAT team.

According freelance journalists, the police dispatcher relayed a call about gunshots being fired. Unlike thee very real attempts against the President, Swatting is another one of those things that makes us wonder why anyone would want a career in what the government once looked like. The one we were in.

Ph well. we need to publish if this is still supposed to be a morning Daily. Forward!
