Deirdre’s Buttered Afternoon Noodles

Maybe I should have called this the Galley Surprise, since despite all the planning, sometimes thigs occur that disrupts the careful planning. Like: “The Russians and Ukrainians are lobbing drones at each other. Some of them are going off-course and hitting targets in places like Romania.
That nation has been a full member of NATO since March 29, 2004. Under the terms of the Alliance, an attack on one member is supposed to be considered an attack on all of them.
So, these days we wake up wondering if the Third World War started and we missed the claxons banging to announce the start.Which is how I got in trouble over the Kraft Grated Cheese. I normally keep a 4.5 pound jug of that powdery stuff from Kraft in the back of the Galley ‘fridge. it is a good back-up product and shelf-life is long for incidents like this. The wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano ($355) I got in January was down to scraps, and at just a little less than $400 per wheel, it is something I have to think about to fit with the monthly food budget.
Today. I got no Reggiano, but I have Kraft, plenty of dry noodles and a new box of butter sticks. I always have my pre-mixed spice loads packaged, so if I have to feed a crowd of unexpected Romanians, I am completely prepared!
And who knows, they may be about to announce PEACE!
Ooops. Wrong War. Sorry! I will get this straight after the noodles are done!
