This is a special Socotra edition from an equally special week. You can see holly has arranged things in her usual spectacular manner and is fully prepared for whatever pops up in the 4th Floor Conference Room. You can see the carts are loaded in alternate packages of brown llquids, sausage rolls, pigs in blankets and the shrimp-seafood bringing up the tail end of Holly’s culinary caravan.

Deirdre has the red sauce going already. That started monday with the idea that she has a galon or so of basic spiced red that can be turned into chili, spaghetti with only some spice, meat and rice or pasta. A Tuesday afternoon like this is perfect for a basic weiner Schnitzel!

Anyway, you can see we are still sorting our selves out here. There are birthdays this week that have both Zooms and Booms a little worked up. Vic is turning seventy-five tomorrow, an occasion he is determined to observe with dignity and compassion. Miles is pleased to be done hanging around the Pentagon groups that were mobilized after the blockade was imposed. We think the Iranians have convinced themselves that they can out-wait the President. That is possible, of course, and it has worked each time a President has tried something different.

We have a suspicion this time might be a little different.
