The Costco Wholesale over in Chantilly is only seven miles away- seven and some change- but it is a balancing act that has distilled itself down to a stock-up trip about once a month. The Whole Foods is much more convenient-I can implore one of the The Boys to go down and across the street. Today is the day for the monthly Costco run with the big holiday coming up next weekend. It is gray outside the big glass windows, so we are hoping the weather cooperates and we can watch the fireworks right from the Conference Room. The display for the 250th is supposed to be a record event~

Boys to g over if I need something and the significantly higher price is worth it to save time. As of 2021, Costco became the third-largest retailer in the world, and as of August 2024, the world’s largest retailer of beef, poultry, organic produce, and wine, with just under a third of American consumers regularly shopping at Costco warehouses.

That is why I do the stock up trips to Chantilly, since the people in Accounting prefer to see the receipts in good neat compilations.

You can see why I like what comes off the shelves in bulk. I get beef from Wyoming and Pork from Shenandoah. The Fish Sticks I get from Costco! They offer the Alaska-caust Trident breaded fish sticks I enjoy and buying in bulk means I can race through a nive giner-food snack for the crew at shift turn-over.

I have this recipe for the Tartar Sauce but it is almost too simple for words but tastes fresh and home-made. Use Duke’s but Hellman’s is OK:
