Sports in the Swamp

OK- we got the Primaries out of the way and we can turn out attention to the biggest sporting events in the world. We are NOT talking about the mid-term elections, but rather some lesser but still significant events that are scheduled to occur over the next three days! First, of course is lunch:

Once we have that our of the way, we need to remind you of the other thing involving the President down on
The National Mall. He has redecorated the East Wing of the White House in order to install a new Ball Room. He has also invited the Real American Fighters to show their stuff on Sunday at a handsome- and we think temporary- arena for RAF fights on Sunday!

We hsd not publicized the RAF event since the Soccer World Cup is also going to be starting tomorrow, though we have followed the competition for the Best Soccer Bar in America to watch the World Cup. It happens to be a competition in which we were represented, since well-attuned local sports fans will be congregated at Ireland’s Four Courts over on Wilson BLVD. tomorrow evening:

And here is some data for being ready for Group D, the one in which the US will start off against ParaguaY tomorrow night, nine o’clock PM. The match, of course, will be held in California, but that isn’t going to stop us:

There is much more, of course, but if you do not have the energy to actually go outside, do yourself a favor and tune into FOX tomorrow if you cannot get yourself out of the recliner to go over to Ireland’s Four Courts. We are favored to beat Paraguay, though they had winning performances against Brazil and Argentina this season, so there is plenty of excitement before we get out of the First Round of 32-teams.
At this moment in time, the miracle is still possible!
