Pacing Ourselves on a Day of Labors!

Working on the Holiday!

This is a team effort to get the holiday weekend launched with a modicum of respect, an outburst of collective energy and a commitment to good humor and fun.
How do we intend to do it? Easy peasy, Pals!
We started yesterday when Miles rolled out some proposed chores to get us through Monday and the onset of the more solemn 9/11 events next week.
Deirdre has all the Galley stuff done and ready for roll-out. She did a neat take on one of her Dee’s Cheats Menu items that mimics the Taco Bell roll-up treats before they added that mal lettuce thing. It costs a fraction of the price, can be done in the air fryer for breakfast, or tucked in a briefcase for a snack on the run.
Which is what we are going to be doing with the monthly Civitan Flea Market through the luncheon hour. This is a special market in which people who spent their lives doing odd things in strange places clean out their closets. It is a unique place for the fleas of the world to be marketed!
The Creative Section naturally has bundles of odd stuff they have dragged through careers and marriages and which periodically need curating. And augmentation, which is what occurs with the hundred-odd vendors who proudly man the tables in parking places at the monthly First Saturday Flea Market over at the Washington-Liberty High School parking lot.
Splash and Vic are already over there, since the meet kicks off at seven and goes to after lunch.
We find the bargaining and recycling a useful calibration for the passing of the season, and with a couple tacos to get us through the first pangs of lunch, we will be ready for some patio time in the afternoon back at the Trillium.
Then we prepare for the opener of the Michigan Wolverines football season against Western this evening, so there will be a leisurely discussion of whether to set up the Conference Room for the Peacock Network presentation right after dinner.
The Spartans of MSU beat Toledo last night, so some of us are already relaxed.
Oh, here is the taco thing if you need something for a traveling tide-me-over for an agenda of Cooking, Crises, Swap Meets, NCAA athletics (before they change them again), and a pleasant day of laboring for leisure!
We may need another holiday tomorrow before the actually Labor Day Monday from all the exertion today!
