Dierdre and Holly’s Bulk Beef Primer

Holly insisted we use one of her glamor shots for the bulk-beef section intro slide. I said “OK,” since by the time we get to the actual cookbook i can edit away anything that does not meet my usual high-standards.
This is the deal we are working on as a start to the menu section of the cookbook Vic and his 86-year old girlfriend Jinny Martin were working on before her passing that closed out the Greatest Generation for our Creative Section. Two major projects passed with her. The first was an irreverent account of Vice Admiral Earl F. Rectanus, callsign “Rex” and his professional life as a Surface Warfare officer against the Empire of Japan and then a decision to stay on active duty after the Bombs ended The War.
Eventually, time took that generation away, even as we are transitioning now.
Rex passed quietly in his time, and jInny was left to her own devices, one of which was an account of what it was like to be a Navy Wife in the business of espionage in Paris and Moscow. And the people who did the entertaining, or answered a call in the morning saying the Romanian Delegation would be stopping by for cocktails and hors d’ouveres at five.

You can see the attraction of bulk purchaseThis is where I get things from Holly. Wyoming pUre sells out the full cows early in the Spring, so what I got was the 1/8th cow which is less than I can use but good enough to get through the 4th and be ready for the mayhem that is going to accompany the battle over the mid-terms, which is going to be something quite unique. We are celebrating the 250th this summer, though Splash says we ought to look at the history of our Republic from the Declaration to the election he claims was stolen in 2020. The years the borders were opened and a half million foreign kids sold into something that looks a lot like what our ancestors fought to end in 1865.
I went up to a quarter cow on my purchase, since the limitation is freezer space to keep the almost two seasons of beef in the ready reserve. You can send me a check if you wish to further sublet a full cow. That will enable the savings to slide right through the food chain.

Don’t be concerned if this doesn’t make a great deal of sense. We would have ordered more if we had the storage space! If that wasn’t enough, remember that today people across the US will celebrate Flag Day to honor the UNited States Flag and to commemorate its adoption. On this same day, the US Army celebrates its birthday. We are going to go outside and do something about both of them!
