I don’t recall ex-spouse Jane’s Birthday always being Mother’s Day, but this is a lovely one and the memory of the laughter and tears we shared are powerful on this sunny morning.

We did a happy slide this morning to get things rolling, but there are other big deals out there that deserve a mention.

Demographics is just one of the ones stacked up behind the Big Deals of the conflict with Iran and the redistricting furor in our states. There was no response noted from Tehran on the American 14-point proposal for peace. Whether the IRGC radicals can accept defeat may take a while to work out.

Strange buffets are also coming out of the kremlin, as it looks like Mr. Putin may be tired of the grinding horror he started in Ukraine.

But the Demographics thing may be the dance off to a day better devoted to the women who work the miracle of motherhood. That is tied directly to what may happen to the Blue States in this tussle with the Reds.

The Flight from New York and California will be reflected in the 2030 census, which will start the big shift away from chances of control of Congress for a generation. And that nonsense of granting statehood to the District and Puerto Rico, as well as packing the Supreme Court.

So, that will account for some of the emotion going up to the Mid-terms. Meanwhile, not much news from China despite the news about tankers. A ship transiting close to Qatar took a round of drone strikes this morning, so Iran is continuing to test limits.

But China has debt problems and the looming problem of the consequences of the ‘one child’ policy that solved the overpopulation problem by stopping replacement of children. There is a big drop coming in their workforce and ability to compete in the world economy.

That will become apparent in about the same time as the 2030 census here in the U.S. redraws our House of Representatives.

Could be interesting to see what the Blue States do as their tax base moves south and the bills to feed the illegals continues to mount. And here in Blue Fairfax, we will try to stay under the radar and maybe look at new digs in Florida!
