This was a day for re-grouping here in DELMARVA. We could pour deep into it and spout some of the same nonsense spilling out of the flat screen but we will save some of ours. There is a great stream going between Seattle, Colorado
Springs and San Diego we want to keep up with. In other events, the amount of money being sloshed over issues we can no longer number is staggering. Much less the amount on which we could take any cogent action.

So we won’t. Dierdre has so many recipe issues swirling around that she insists on starting a sort of formal addendum to the morning and afternoon offerings. She is building her own manuscript for the Galley Gang. She thinks they could go first since at least her offerings are tasty, but there are so many issues that the entrees all sort of get mixed together. Like,

This is a fine side she likes to go with thin slices carved off the Wyoming Pure roast beef on Zingerman’s fresh-baked delivery sourdough loaves. The beef was salt-crusted before the roast to produce an interior that is a mellow pink delight. She likes this recipe as something she can do to accompany a single multi-day main course. She can do this with ingredients scaled to the number of people likely to be transiting the
conference room over 24-hour segments. A triple is what she has for between-watch augmentation crowds.

The key to that, of course is what time it is.

Splash is down by the big window at the make-shift entertainment area at the south end of the room. He may be mixing something now that it is almost the Next Day. Legal has felt it wise to have someone keep an eye on possible drinking-and-punditry, so we want to ensure Eddie’s input is recognized, just in case.

This is one of those crisis bridge days, with people traveling from Tehran and
Washington to places whose names we used to know with unforunate proximity. Like Rawalpindi, Pakisyan . Which used to be sort of no-g0 but is now apparently an ally. Or median or something. Mr. Trump seems confident, so we will just go with it until something else crowds it out.

We think there will be more tomorrow. We hope so.
