The Rains Doth Come

And they came- two inches worth-today. We had been dry, and God knows the consequences of itchy dry and a brisk wind and a spark in the night. So we will let the Santa Anna sleep for a while and get the green to grow as we head toward birthdays coming in June.

There was room for remarkable optimism is this morning. We will spare you from the most intimate of details on that except to say that the sturdy shower rails bolted to the bathroom walls were tested in their ability to bear weight. And proved ready. That includes the near forgotten ability of the legs to do the same, which as you might imagine had the fans on their feet shouting approval!

The external word flooding in this morning includes how Mr. Trump is doing on the trip overseas. He is having quite a week, if one includes the UK trade deal lat week as a start. You also much recall that we ceased to believe anything from the Government unless there was a reasonable track record of trust. That had been blown up thoroughly of late, so we will take the corresponding news about the second highest trade surplus in the US Treasury as nothing more than an accidental statistic.

And hope there is more of that sort of news. Like the report of the response of both legs and upper body on the rails this morning. No way to tell, you know? Could just be one of those flukes, right?

But on the other hand, it could mean something is working! That rains doth come. But the moisture also makes things grow, you know?
