There is a tidal current of messages in progress this morning. It is an epic time and still unfoldingg in crimson billows of fire and black smoke overseas. General Razin Caine this morning briefed us that “Shock and Awe” was a component of the plan.

We felt it. The crowd at Socotra House in various states after two-and-a-half days of news from the campaign. New tech has made the media a visceral part of the days also filled with briefings and local stuff, like the two fatal stabbings here in Fairfax and Downtown.
The Boomers were better rested and fresh for th week, except for Splash. He appeared a little the worse for wear in following the news like an event-by-event strike package.

Others were freshly showered and attied in a new week’s clothing with Building Laundry
Day complete sometime in the Sunday wave of reports from the Iranian attempt at a response to our operations..

There are tales yet to be told and more to understand. The attack on the Consulate in Karachi , Pakistan, is one that would have captured the airwaves for days if anyone was listening to that sound of distant gunfire.

There is sorrow for those who died in our Operations Center in Kuwait. And for those wounded, all victims of the wild barrage of missiles fired by the Iranians. Sadly, one got through an amazing demonstration of theater-level air defense in which hundreds of targets were successfully engaged.

We are thankful for the survival of six aircrew who had to eject when their three aircraft wrecked engaged in a friendly fire incident, also with Kuwait.

Give a thought to those in peril. We pray for a just resolution.
