There are heroes among us, and they have been revealed in the heavens above in this astonishing series of Big Weeks! As we enter Autumn’s winds of change, we can look back on hundreds of years of accomplishments, advances and the sense wonder at the arrival of a leap into a future that is partly […]

Section Leader Miles asked me to do a quick line and block diagram on the new Department of War now that Secretary Hegseth has bolted on the new Space and AI wings onto it. That was done before lunch yesterday, but you can see there was some afternoon leakage over at Fort Meade, headquarters of […]

Well, as I explained this morning, you can see the new War Department block diagram had things pretty well laid out with the new Space Force shield entered in and the circles of authority all orbiting properly in their arcs around Secretary Pete. And all those other centers of gravity of with revolving careers and […]

Or, for that matter, remembering the passwords required to read much below the headlines. We did manage to get into one of the articles yesterday because it cut […]

There is a certain rhythm to September around Socotra House that we are only beginning to understand. Yesterday, we were wrapping the Autumn Olive tenderloins in enough bacon to alarm the Finance Section, while Rocket appeared unusually willing to assist Holly’s visiting Ciocia Ala with anything requiring close supervision. Today the pork is mostly memory, […]

Don’t get me wrong- I appreciate Holly’s Aunt Aly being here to share some of the creation time! I am using her visit to catch up on the Michigan Senate race with that wild-man for the Dailies and the Dance-offs while I get some longer shelf-life items put away for the Fall weekends. Aly’s real […]
