Johnny Marzetti’s Buckeye Casserole!

Cooking for the Crowd | 1950s Midwest Classics | Game-Day Edition
A proper Johnny Marzetti belongs in the Buckeye Section of the Socotra Galley collection! His classic casserole is from his hometown in the Caroll and Stark County areas of NE Ohio, That is the Massillon-Canton metro area where his Irish side settled down after building the railroads out from Baltimore to the green goodness of the Buckeye State.
There, in the townships amid the verdant green and brown soil, they encountered the Napolitanians who had arrived in the area by boat in Cleveland and wisely decided to stay put.
Massillon was the home to the recipe which lasted right up to the unofficial start of Happy Hour, which is Michigan and Penn State playing at the Big House in Ann Arbor.
That may require doing the slow-cook pot roast Rocket brought up to thaw last Thursday when things got rocking across town. That led to all the contributions to the merry carnival in which we live. And worked hard to create, right? Can you hand us the keys to Elon’s ride?
Quite an afternoon! Go Blue!
