Three Fronts- Time to Fix
Lovely morning on this side of the River through our town. The good news is that some of the construction work on the other side is complete, notably the helicopter pad that has had so much attention before the scheduled visit of China’s President on the 24th.
That event is another of the gatherings that have occupied us in an unending (and entertaining!) parade as this astonishing summer recedes in the national rear-view mirror.
Is it possible we have a couple days of a break to enjoy the magic of the change of the elements across our bountiful continent? Or will be look up from the Foyer of the Kennedy Center at the hole in the roof and claim we want to perform in the rain?
Or should we bring in some of the pumpkins before the flood?
