Honoring Eids

This came in from Reverend Frank’s crew who are looking for an Assimilated Islamic adherent with Special Operations experience to deepen our non-secular bench by hightlighting days of significance in places we have to go. Opinions are, of course, those of an independent contractor provided by a non-by a non-profit organization recognized under applicable tax codes. Fast Eddie made us say that legal speed break when anything having a potential social context floats by.

We thank Eddie for current guidance, but there is much in our thankfulness to have lived with these people at this time and in all the places. We took a poll after the production meeting this morning. Result? An adventure into an important religious event with which we had little context. It was an interesting atfernoon exploring,. We took a poll and can report that a clear majority is in favor of whatever the Power that runs this enormous enterprise has chosen to do with our end of the solar system. We have lived at a time of unparalleled accomplishment and one in the process of transformation.
Like the age of hybrid humans. We may be able to chip humans the way we do today with beloved pets. With appropriate bandwidth, a chipped human might be able to operate a defensive line. Or, of course, something else. It is already starting and it is going to be sort of profound, the like of which will produce the first organic-digital operating system, no longer limited by human factors but able to reason by light speed.

What Rev. Franks folks had was focused on what was taught to them long ago. If you are going to go meet people about really emotional things, it might help to at least understand some of the thinking going on. DC is just coming off the Memorial Day holiday. Today is Eid al Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice for others. The Sunni astronomic tradition and lunar observation was used to determine the date oriented toward someplace like Mecca or Jerusalem. There are other opinions, of course, in places like South Africa. Or these days, London.

Our best wishes to all celebrants, whether your 2026 Eid is ending or just beginning!
