(Despite preservation efforts, the historic Maplewood Mansion in Fairfax County was demolished in the middle of the night in 1970 to accommodate construction of the Capital One Hall.  The Second Empire-style mansion dated to the early 1870s and was one of the last Fairfax examples of its architectural style).

That is apparently unfolding with a gentle urge to Senor Maduros to take a hike. Or how the President of Honduras wound up released from a US jail.

So, swirl some of the just horrific grinding of flesh in Ukraine with the Old Salts contributing what used to be old school Democrat views to an entirely new whole-of-society warfare across the messaging streams enhanced with intelligence that isn’t exactly ours anymore.

Which is why Melissa let the Old and New men decide whether the old family values like in the new Chevy commercial was going to be re-established. And why Holly was empowered to try to take a leadership role in how a company-sized group fo differently-abled people could find flexible places to live in a dynamic fifteen minute county.

That was the easy part. Some of the Zoomers have friends in the Somali refugee community who have an office here in Fairfax to front for the group back in Milwaukee. They apparently have a successful enterprise there that has benefitted over the last ten years in some real money. A joint non-profit partnership has funneled some of that cash into two units back the Big Pink building in Arlington and a share of the conference room here in Fiarfax.

Which is what brought up the Maplewood issue. They want to do something similar to the Fillmore Park strip mall over on Columbia Pike in the old neighborhood where Attalla’s Turkish Restaurant used to serve up some dynamite seseme-crusted doner kebabs with spicy thin-sliced meat piled on the bread.

They are promising an Amazon no register check out Total Foods on the first floor and that is walking distance from the old HQ at big Pink. We are convinced, generally, that something promising may happen eventually. Like the old SAIC parking lot next to where they just built The Trillium.
