The reality of what is coming at us in the next two years is sinking in, here and abroad. When Israeli editors warn that a Democratic sweep in the US Congress could loosen the automatic political and military backing, they are reacting to a real shift: bipartisan support for Israel remains durable, but the old norm of near-unanimous, largely unconditional support has eroded, especially on the Democratic left.

That development caused an eruption in the Galley, and caused the Black and Decker drill to come out to carve four screw-holes on the wall next to the fridge. When properly aligned and twisted into the vertical beam behind the wallboard, they affixed an easy swipe to turn the oblong lumps of inert potato, zuccini or carrots into exciting hot crispy treats.

Vice President Vance says the Iran War may have been the deciding factor in the minor Blue wave. The argument then spins into gas and deisel prices which are related but on differing trajectories across the near term. So, that is why the press got screwed into our Galley bulkhead.

Deirdre thought was time to have the Boomers mount the wall press to enable the Galley shift to press down a lever on the fry-chopping unit and pile the neatly cut veggies direct to the Ninja Air Fryer in the assembly lines across the counter next to the Galley hatch. This modification is going to save time in getting crispy fresh fries direct to the conference table with burgers and grill treats coming up from Rocket and Splash down on the Patio and the Weber Grill.

The clouds of morning have scudded off to the east, and we have blue skies and a decent afternoom for grilling and getting ready to start an entirely new set of adventures, Ones in which Washington may not feel obligated to unilaterally defend the Israelis.

That is an interesting new take on how the tectonic plates along the Jordan River are going to grind into some new shape. Like our next two years, there will be some interesting plate mechanics to watch as they grind toward the sea!
