A Festive Holiday Meal as the Big Storm Dances Off!<\/p>\n

The shreds of the big storm are still dancing east with some drama still in the heavens as the clouds are rapidly pulled east and away…<\/p>\n

Yesterday the sweet chocolate chip cookies with the salty tang and the pulled goodness in the Vietnamese pho-stew was delightful as the rain poured down for most of the day.<\/p>\n

\nIt was a day for indoor activity and that is why we had a Turbo Grill charge experience!<\/p>\n

We did not know if it was going to work. As a group, we have lived in communal living on and off for a few decades and dining with the vagaries of cooking with machines that only heat things up and explode when anything metal is near them.<\/p>\n

This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is something completely new!<\/p>\n

\nOK- the chowder has been simmering since Deirdre got the last of the fritters cleaned up- OBTW, the Turbo Chef can streamline the fritter preps and we will walk you through the eggs and cheese that can make pickle chips to go with breakfast or lunch!<\/p>\n

This morning we saw parches of blue amid reports that the Houthi insurgents, egged on by the Iranian crazies, had blown a hole in the monumental structure of the monumental Saudi Arabian main airport terminal. It is central to the identity of the desert city, and carried quotations of other travel destination architecture, like Grand Central’s legendary Oyster Bar our parents took us to in another century.<\/p>\n

So, we have some real trouble into which we may get dragged by those hoping to change what will occur on 03 November. We do not care. We have some who have decided to not vote. Most of those who can mange have voted early, and we have a couple thrill-seekers who want to wait for election day.<\/p>\n

If you haven’t voted, the last few days have demonstrated what a comfort it is to be on record about what we think. And that gives us a hunger for some creamy chicken chowder!<\/p>\n
