When History Can Wait Until Supper
\nWith the situation in the Strait of Hormuz apparently on pause\u2014for the moment\u2014we’re taking advantage of the lull to conduct another important operation.<\/p>\n

Pulled Beef Roast Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nRocket has command of the main effort, tending two three-pound Wyoming Pure beef roasts rubbed generously with Mama’s BBQ Sprinkles and a healthy dusting of Traeger ‘Que seasoning before giving them the slow-and-steady treatment.<\/p>\n

Once they’re fork tender, the beef gets shredded for towering pulled-beef sandwiches served on big brioche rolls.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Holly and I have been assigned to the supporting mission.<\/p>\n

That means laying out the buffet with all the fixings:
\nCowboy beans
\nFresh coleslaw<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nPlenty of sauces
\nBig brioche rolls
\nAnd enough napkins to survive a proper barbecue assault.
\nIt’s one of those small celebrations that reminds us history isn’t made entirely by summits, sanctions, missile strikes, or anxious headlines.<\/p>\n

Sometimes history pauses long enough for friends to gather around a buffet, tell a few stories, and enjoy a good meal.<\/p>\n

If the peace holds for another few hours, we’ll happily declare today’s operation an unqualified success.<\/p>\n

Happy Time Travel Wednesday\u2014and pass the shredded beef!<\/p>\n
