Miles said I could run another one of what he considers “Deirdre’s stuff” this afternoon since nothing major has exploded since breakfast. He wants to maintain the pleasant fiction that life these days has a semblance to what we once knew. But that is how dramatic change works, right?<\/p>\n

For example, we have agreed to try to keep our interpersonal relations here at the HQ as private business, since no one with this potential Socotra House exposure would do anything like what happened last night in the …<\/p>\n

OK, whoa. That matter and the general embarrassment that followed will have to wait. Instead, I will take this afternoon edition of semi-tranquility to explain how I keep these people coming back up that staircase to exchange their expertise for food and sometimes lodging. Monday is the day to think of what is in the freezer and what will keep the food groups moving happily around the dial!<\/p>\n

I have the Galley about where I want it. I can keep track of what is happening in the Conference Room while I am making magic!<\/p>\n
