They will be responding shortly which will make us respond again. But there is nearer news, as the 2026 AMO (American Motors Owners) International Convention ends today out in Hoosier Land. The folks will be packing up some great rides to go home with a special mark of achievement for Socotra House LLC since the current custodian of Vic’s Dad’s design of the 1959 Rambler station wagon is a big winner!

It is a special car for those of us here, snce it briefly served as the company SUV when acquitted down in Florida ten years ago and then donated to the people who run a car show named to honor the Rambler designs that made the Mid-West roll in grand but economical style.

The convention is hosted by the Hoosier AMC Club, a great bunch of Americans with whom a weekend camping . This major event for AMC fans featured tours with over 200 classic Ramblers in the cruise-in, and a national show with both host hotels fully booked for a fun filled show!

Vic’s brother was the driving force that found Rosie in the classic cars and led the charge to get her to the people of Indiana who appreciate classics, and still toll in style to destinations like Hoosier National Forest, Indian Dunes National Park or Brown County State Park. All three locations- and dozens more- offer excellent car camping and drive-in sites with on-site big grills. Which is why I bring them up. If you are going to show cars or wander around talking to others with the same automotive tastes, I will offer this up after all the beef dishes I am juggling with the half bulk order from Wyoming Pure.

There is something I am attempting to juggle here with the Iberico pigs out in the Shenandaoh Valley at Autumn Olive farms. They are an award winning sustainable Artisan Family Farm in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. they raise, sell, and deliver Virginia’s finest heritage breeds of meat ever week. Rhey feature the AOF Berkabaw, The Patterson Registered Berkshires™, and AOF Ossabaw Island Hogs. These Heritage breed meats are served at renowned restaurants and in real butcher shops across the Virginia/DC region.

There are at least two issues with that in my food chain, and I am negotiating to see if I can arrange a purchase of one hog at the beginning of the grilling season and be able to offer beef, pork and chicken entrees without having those awkward afternoons in the summer sunshine with hungry- and thirsty- campers.

Barbecued Pork Ribs are the ultimate comfort food, offering tender, fall-off-the-bone meat with a smoky, sweet, and tangy flavor that comes from slow cooking and a perfectly balanced barbecue sauce. Whether you prepare them on the grill by the classic station wagon or back up the Galley in the oven, these ribs are slathered with a rich, flavorful sauce that caramelizes beautifully, that creates a sticky, delicious coating. Perfect for backyard gatherings or family dinners, barbecued pork ribs are sure to be a hit with their deep, mouthwatering flavor and irresistible texture.

Barbecued Pork Ribs are the ultimate comfort food, offering tender, fall-off-the-bone meat with a smoky, sweet, and tangy flavor that comes from slow cooking and a perfectly balanced barbecue sauce.
