Morning, Gentle Readers! More noise from the Mid-East is competing with noise from the Texas primary elections down south. Mr Trump did well in his endorsements and that may impact his strategy in the Iran conflict.<\/p>\n
In our National Partisan conflict, the Left has been using the line that Trump cannot complete the Epic Fury operation to overthrow the Iranian zealots without suffering in the impending mid-term elections. The President seems to have answered with his quote in the lead graphic.<\/p>\n
Regardless of the mid-term results, he is still in charge until 2028. The Iranians might want to keep that in mind. Like we will.<\/p>\n
We are not going try to account for the activity in the CENTCOM area of responsibility overnight. There are still drones and rockets flying around, but not like the recent horrors in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
There was more kinetic activity in the Strait of Hormuz Though both sides have launched major messaging campaigns at louder volume than some of the explosions.<\/p>\n
CENTCOM denied that the US Navy has officially restarted guiding ships through the Strait amid fresh tanker explosions and fuel leak incidents which shows you their state of play. Some of the violence is no longer under the control of anyone except some junior terrorists who may still have the keys to the motor-boat locker.<\/p>\n
Or FA-18 pilots told to sink fast boats if they happen to see any.<\/p>\n
As of this morning, Tehran formally accused Washington of “cease fire violations” while warning a final deal is not yet imminent, That, of course, is just a play for time to rebuild their inventory of weapons and out wait Washington.<\/p>\n
Trump is getting closer to the mid-terms. It has been played as the Iranian path to survival, if not victory. So, our Pentagon is messaging as well, stating our actions are only rational “self-defense” responses.<\/p>\n
\u201cAyatollah Hajj\u201d has been referenced as issuing guidance as the supreme leader but not specifically as Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, son of the slain former leader and reported wounded in the strike. Use of the term may reflect a strengthened organization made possible by the passage of time.<\/p>\n
One thing is interesting this morning. If the Iranians are counting on the mid-terms to make Mr. Trump take a weak deal, they may not have the time to wait. They are clamoring for bucks, with their negotiators demanding “12 billion to be released now and 12 billion after the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) runs 30 days.”<\/p>\n
That is what they think will enable Mr. Trump’s downfall by the Dis-Loyal opposition. We\u2019ll see, right? Meanwhile, look at the size of the puzzle in play!<\/p>\n
