Preliminary reporting indicates that the opening strikes focused on Iranian integrated air defense systems. Russian-made radar arrays and surface-to-air missile sites were targeted with Tomahawk land-attack missiles, followed by air-delivered munitions against known relocation and command nodes. Early ISR suggests multiple radar signatures have gone dark. Confirmation continues.<\/p>\n
Secondary strike packages reportedly hit Revolutionary Guard facilities, ballistic missile\u2013related infrastructure, and selected naval installations along the Gulf. At least ten cities are included in the preliminary strike map.<\/p>\n
Leadership survivability remains unclear. Iranian political and Guard officials had reportedly begun precautionary dispersal after U.S. citizens and diplomats were advised to depart Israel yesterday.<\/p>\n
Battle Damage Assessment is a discipline of patience. It was that way in DESERT STORM when imagery came in grainy and delayed. It was that way behind the concrete walls on 9\/11 when smoke still hung in the air. It remains that way now, even with live drone feeds and rapid SIGINT fusion.<\/p>\n
Initial indicators suggest air defense degradation was the primary objective of the first wave. If confirmed, that would establish air superiority conditions for follow-on operations.<\/p>\n
Iran has reportedly launched several medium-range ballistic missiles toward Gulf-region targets. No confirmed damage or casualty reports at this time. Intercepts are still being evaluated.<\/p>\n
This is still the early phase.<\/p>\n
