The ball dropped, toasts were made,
\nThe weather cold but sunny,

A horrible dry season fire

Some don\u2019t want the war to stop,

\nActing quite diffident.<\/p>\n

And then there was a party,

And then there was a possible ceasefire,

\nThen everyone started picking at it,
\nSo maybe only sorta, kinda\u2026<\/p>\n
And the NYT released a story,
\nThat confirmed all the stuff that wasn\u2019t true,
\nSeems CIA – then the Army,
\nWas doin\u2019 that voodoo that they do.<\/p>\n
And then the Prez had had enough,
\nWith Iran, Houthis and the Red Sea,
\nThe Navy started pounding on things,
\nHow will this end? We\u2019ll see.<\/p>\n
But in the meantime B-2s to DGar,
\nThis ain\u2019t some sort of prom,
\nB-2s aren\u2019t about the Houthis,
\nMaybe Iran is worrying about the bomb?<\/p>\n
But then a bunch of big people
\nSitting around and yakking,

\nWill someone get sent packing?<\/p>\n
And April second rolled around

\nAnd so we got a bunch of tariffs.<\/p>\n
Of course there was a great deal of whining,
\nOf wringing hands and clutching of pearls,
\nOf course some thought different,
\nHow \u2018bout givin\u2019 fiscal responsibility a whirl?<\/p>\n
And then there was quite a hew and cry,
\nEnd of the world and all that,
\nTrump is just crazy after all,
\nWhat\u2019s goin\u2019 on under that MAGA Hat?<\/p>\n
These tariffs will destroy us,
\nHe must be put away,
\nDoesn\u2019t he understand
\nIt\u2019s always been this way?<\/p>\n
So much yelling and screaming,
\nDear God, the Orange man they hate,
\nBut Why the F___ are all these countries,
\nHeaded to the White House to negotiate?<\/p>\n
Pope Francis Passed away,
\nHe struggled with the Church\u2019s role,
\nBut all in all he truly meant well,

And now we have an American Pope

\nAnd not much progress was made,<\/p>\n
In fact it seemed fairly obvious,
\nDoes not require a great intellectual jump,
\nNothing will be settled
\nUntil talks between Putin and Trump.<\/p>\n
They held the Kentucky Derby,
\nThe weather made some trainers shudder,

About that big fire in California,
