The President has a victory plan,<\/p>\n
How he\u2019s gonna win the war,<\/p>\n
Just another year of fighting,<\/p>\n
That\u2019s all he\u2019s asking for.<\/p>\n
That and a bunch of weapons,<\/p>\n
Oh, and a bunch of money, too.<\/p>\n
And all sorts of political help,<\/p>\n
At least he\u2019s not asking for a zoo.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile we sit in these bunkers,<\/p>\n
Fall rains are coming down,<\/p>\n
The mud is deep, the rats are pissed,<\/p>\n
The landscape gray and brown.<\/p>\n
Raw and cold and miserable,<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve got mud now for a floor,<\/p>\n
No wonder morale is in the gutter,<\/p>\n
And we\u2019re still dying by the score.<\/p>\n
Drones still chasing us down,<\/p>\n
And arty pounds all night,<\/p>\n
But NATO gives us more weapons,<\/p>\n
Kyiv says everything is all right.<\/p>\n
The Russians are incompetent,<\/p>\n
They have crappy tanks and trucks,<\/p>\n
And their morale is worse than ours,<\/p>\n
And their leadership – it sucks.<\/p>\n
And every time I turn around<\/p>\n
There\u2019s some politician grinnin\u2019<\/p>\n
Only thing I don\u2019t understand,<\/p>\n
The Russians seem to be winnin\u2019<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t get us wrong, we want to win,<\/p>\n
And our country we will defend,<\/p>\n
But this has to make some sense,<\/p>\n
Tell us how this will really end.<\/p>\n
