He had started by establishing a relationship with Betty in New York City in 1948. His buddy Bob Veryzer mentioned there were jobs available in Detroit- &#8220;The Paris of the Midwest.&#8221; Bob was on a project at GM at the time- designing the first post-War sports machine.
