Author’s Note: \u200bWe were hosting dinner earlier this week for two bright, lovely, hardworking millennials, when one asked about the possibility of a recession. We told them we were in one already. That stopped them short, so we stayed silent on the recent things observed and measured locally — long term, non-volatile rolling average price increases, service\/tourist economy slow down, house sales cratering, house rents skyrocketing with no product available despite all the college students now back home for the summer and so on.<\/p>\n

Not wanting to buzz-kill the evening, we switched topics and poured them more wine and local craft beer.<\/p>\n

Charged-glass, good times shall always roll chez us.<\/p>\n
