For the Children<\/p>\n
Comes in many shapes and sizes, goes by many names,
\nA thousand justifications, but deep down they\u2019re all the same,
\nIt used to be, it always was, we\u2019re making things all right,
\nFollow us, do what we say, the future looks so bright.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s for the best, for us all, do it for the children,
\nDon\u2019t be stupid, Don\u2019t be selfish, Don\u2019t let this happen again!
\nYou must do things just this way, no right is absolute,
\nFrankly, you just must obey, I really don\u2019t give a hoot.<\/p>\n
I am right, you are wrong, we\u2019re the government, you work for us,
\nThe greater good is on my side, knock off all the fuss.
\nWe\u2019ll seize your car, seize your cash, even seize your home,
\nThen we\u2019ll round you all up, throw you into Thunder Dome.<\/p>\n
Or maybe we\u2019ll just start a war, I like that land over there,
\nBesides it was always mine, as you are well aware.
\nHistory is on my side, if you count the years just right,
\nNot too few, not too many, besides, I have the might.<\/p>\n
Because in the end this isn\u2019t this isn\u2019t about some divine light,
\nThis is after all plain and simple, Might really does make right.
\nWe have power, you do not, you had better toe the line,
\nShut up and do what your told, everything will be just fine.<\/p>\n
We really have your good at heart, if you just shut up and obey,
\nPay your taxes, wear your mask, and then do what we say.
\nAs for this land, this is ours, these treaties and such are junk,
\nWe will do what we want, or your power grid will be sunk.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t forget we\u2019re in charge, in Ottawa, Davos, or Moscow,
\nAnd don\u2019t forget Beijing too, all you need to do is bow.
\nWe have the power and very soon we will have your money,
\nWelcome to the brave new world, it\u2019s called tyranny.<\/p>\n
