As life-long car types and gearheads, W and I watched another \u201cnew to us\u201d show on the MotorTrend cable channel, skipping the Democratic Party\u2019s first 2020 Presidential candidate debate last night. This 8-season long show\u2019s title is an eerily scary harbinger of what this debate process will become \u2013 \u201cRoadkill.\u201d<\/p>\n
While W did some early AM hours gardening this morning, I searched out and watched online highlights of the debates. After enduring some brief wincing pain, I can say that both of last night\u2019s shows are endurance races \u2013 let’s call them the \u201c24 Hours of Lemons.\u201d <\/p>\n
Tonight\u2019spart deux debate will be more of the same automotive commercial material — entertaining trunk monkeys, dodgy but loveable used car salespersons impossibly offering highly valued services for no-money-down low-low prices (well, actually free), country shade tree repairmen who promise to put back the yeehaw into our nation\u2019s Find-On-Roadside-Dead social fabric and political discourse, a few earnest Ernest Goes to Hollywood you-know-what-I-mean-Vern types, a Cal Worthington salesperson with his dog Spot (who was never a dog), someone who\u2019s bound to offer voters an American made conversion van special approach to the next four years, and at least two outsized, threatening professional wrasslin\u2019 types who all but say \u201cVote for me or die!\u201d<\/p>\n
Thanks to inspiration from the NY Times, I offer you in closing some short form, initial reactions to this political lemon show. Let\u2019s call them DemKu. <\/p>\n

\nAre better than Hillary?
\nShe lost to THAT guy<\/p>\n

\nCommence Firing in Circle
\nWinner\u2019s gonna beat Trump?<\/p>\n
Dozen angry pols
\nCrabs in the TV bucket
\nTalkin OPM<\/p>\n
To beat the tanned man
\nGive free stuff to everyone
\nThen bill AOC<\/p>\n
Joe, Warren, Sanders
\nThe rest are too far behind
\nTake cabinet spots<\/p>\n
I think we\u2019ll watch the real Roadkill show with its more believable auto chaos tonight.<\/p>\n

PS My favorite from last night\u2019s binge watching was a 5-day junkyard resurrection of an early 90s Subaru into a big-block 440, hemi-powered Samurai.<\/p>\n
