Marlow&#8217;s voice is his own.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Vic<\/p>\n<p>March for Science<\/p>\n<p>W and I were taking in the annual hidden garden tour of old town Savannah yesterday, when the Hostess City&#8217;s March for Science shambled past us. Not much science, no chanting. science celebrating or politics was in evidence. Even the signage was tame (\u201cLiving past 30 #thanks science\u201d was a Twitterized one while &#8220;Science is the mitochondria of our society\u201d read a lame attempt at nerd humor). This was probably due to the fact that most of the marchers were students at the Savannah College or Art and Design.<\/p>\n<p>I wasn&#8217;t sure whether I should weep or chortle when I spotted&#8221;Data Saves Lives&#8221; and &#8220;Show Me Your Science.&#8221; One placard was spot on &#8220;Alt Facts = \u221a-1&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15819\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vicsocotra.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/042517-LIT1.jpg\" alt=\"042517-LIT1\" width=\"318\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vicsocotra.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/042517-LIT1.jpg 318w, https:\/\/www.vicsocotra.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/042517-LIT1-300x191.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 318px) 100vw, 318px\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Foxy Loxy&#8217;s Fire and Wine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile we ended the day celebrating the scientific fruit of oenology at Foxy Loxy &#8211; a local coffee beer and wine bar on Bull Street.
