I will get to an account of the momentous events of yesterday, presently, or not. I have to get it in gear to drive back to the scene of the crime and pick up the two stools that Od Jim and I sat on for several years. But suffice it to say, in general order, there was:<\/p>\n

The last full hour swim;<\/p>\n

Watching the MSU football victory with the LT;<\/p>\n

Driving to Dulles to get him on a plane;<\/p>\n

Driving back to Big Pink, donning formal mourning attire donned (Black shirt and bow tie with jeans);<\/p>\n

Driving over to Willow’s Wake;<\/p>\n

Back in the police cruiser (mine, not theirs) and back to Big Pink in time to join Marty Lee, Margaret, Cindy and Joe at poolside in time for season\u2019s closing;<\/p>\n

Open tab left at Willow meant hailing a Red Top cab to go back;<\/p>\n

More great food;<\/p>\n

MC-ing the last remarks from Willow Management while standing atop the bar;<\/p>\n

\"bartenders-092015\"<\/p>\n

Then another cab ride home sometime after Midnight.<\/p>\n

There is actually a story to all of the bullets, but I can understand that only a few would give a crap about any of it. Fifty pictures on Facebook and call it a wrap for the season.<\/p>\n

Strange feeling. So much just changed. I have to go with the flow, I suppose. I am going to miss that place. And the pool. And my son.<\/p>\n
